World's Tallest Totem

Situated on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a backdrop of tree covered mountains, this modern day town surrounded by rural beauty combined with a leisurely paced atmosphere makes McKinleyville one of a kind. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast, looking for a quiet getaway, taking the family on a tour of Northern California or looking to relocate we offer something for everyone.

Take a walk or ride your bike on the scenic Hammond Trail. A paved trail that runs parallel to the coast from one end of McKinleyville to the other. Visit local beaches and spend the day kayaking, surfing, fishing or taking a leisurely stroll looking for treasures. Within minutes many outdoor adventures await. Bird watching, hiking and camping in State Parks and forests, some of the best river fishing in the world, whitewater rafting trips, horseback riding or take photos of live elk in their natural habitat. Attend a variety of festivals all over Humboldt, including our very own Pony Express Days.

Pony Express Days is a town celebration that was established in the 70's and is always held the first weekend in June. It is a 4 day community event where you can enjoy a Clam Chowder Cook-off, Fireman's Muster (Fireman Games), Car Show, Pony Express Dance, Saturday Parade down Central

which rolls right into our big Pony Express Family Fun Festival in Pierson Park. There is something for all ages.

McKinleyville has now become the fastest growing community on the North Coast. With the Arcata-Eureka Airport just north of town, McKinleyville is the commercial air gateway to Humboldt County. Also, the Coast Guard Rescue Team is headquartered next to the airport. The community offers plenty of family activities and parks, a thriving business community offering everything one needs right in town, an active senior center and established school systems, with Humboldt State University being only 10 minutes away.

Humboldt is famous for its pristine coastline, ancient redwood forests, fresh seafood, unique handcrafted products and friendly people. Enjoy all this in McKinleyville and its small town charm with big city services.

Our mission is simple~ To serve many clients' needs by matching them to appropriate therapists whom use the best holistic treatment available.
